One Night in Bangkok

Traveling in Thailand for the first time is a thrilling experience. I decided after some careful deliberation to fly with the Thai National carrier, Thai Airways. I don’t regret the decision at all, what a fantastic airline. Great Food, friendly staff and most of all, comfy seating arrangements (probably the most spacious of all the airlines I’ve traveled with recently). After arriving at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, I managed to get myself into a taxi relatively easily and headed into the bustling city to find my hotel, check in, shower, and rinse off the grime of being cooped up on an international flight for twelve hours. I was in the city primarily to find Bangkok wholesale suppliers of clothing and footwear for my funky fashion outlet in Philadelphia, but I was determined to have some fun while I was there.

I was booked into the Baiyoke Sky Hotel, the tallest building in Bangkok, boasting magnificent three hundred and sixty degree views of the city. The hotel is conveniently situated in the center of the Pratunam shopping district. The area is perhaps one of the largest shopping areas in Bangkok for wholesale clothing suppliers. A maze of lanes and alleyways, bustling with traders selling all sorts of commodities, from coca cola served in clear plastic carrier bags to stir fried noodles deep fried in large gas heated woks fixed to the sides of motorcycles. The Pratunam shopping district covers several city blocks and is home to shopping meccas like the Platinum Shooping Mall, Indra Centre and Pantip Plaza. Exploring this area for the first time can take some getting used to. The maze of sois and lanes are vast and its very easy to get lost, not to mention that after 10:30 in the morning, the place is packed with tourists and shoppers from all over the world, seeking wholesale suppliers and trying to snap up a bargain. A day on the markets in Bangkok is exhausting and can leave you feeling quite frustrated. As a first time explorer, I wish I had known about the Thailand Wholesale Guide. These guys have condensed fifteen years of experience in sourcing wholesale suppliers in Bangkok and Thailand and made it available to everybody.

The information shared in the booklet these guys offer is invaluable. It’s not often that you are able to buy fifteen years of experience in your field for such a low price. After reading the ThailandWholesaleGuide.com’s book, I feel really excited about my next business trip. I feel empowered with some really neat tools in sourcing and negotiating with wholesale suppliers in Bangkok and Thailand.

Unfortunately I only discovered this fantastic resource towards the end of my short stay. Feeling somewhat defeated by the wholesale markets in Bangkok, but also encouraged after reading the thailandwholesaleguide, I packed my bags and headed off to Suvarnabhumi to catch my flight home. All in all, Bangkok is a thrilling city and definite gem for those looking buy wholesale goods for their business.
